Consider hosting a welcome night to kick off the new year or season of the young adult ministry, making an effort to include new people and introduce new members. The meeting can be announced at the end of Mass, or on the parish’s social media or website. There can be speakers who can share their experiences if they’ve been a part of the young adult group for a while. There can also be social time over snacks for members to talk, exchange numbers or social media, and form a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere. It can be hard to make new friends and meet new people as a young adult when they’re busy working and stepping out into the “real world,” so this could be a good way to help them meet new people who also value their faith.
