As we approach Halloween and All Saints Day, it is cool to learn about saints who bridge the gap between the days. Fr. Steve Bell profiles one such saint, Christina the Astonishing, in this Busted Halo video. She died at the age of 21, but at her funeral she flew into the rafters of the church. She claimed she had been to hell, purgatory, and heaven, where God had told her to return to Earth to alleviate suffering. She prayed in all kinds of weather, but was never hurt. Discuss with young adults whether this patron saint of the mentally ill was a madwoman or holy.
