ASP is a Christian ministry working in central Appalachia to eradicate substandard living conditions in the poorest parts of Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Built on a commitment to the dignity of each individual, the program seeks to foster spiritual and personal growth for all through service work and reflection. Young adults can grow closer to each other and God through fundraising activities, pre-trip planning meetings, and the service itself.
