Suggested Reflection Questions

  • The first reading describes someone who feels “duped” and let down by God. When was a time you felt frustrated with God? How do you deal with that frustration?
  • The second reading says we should offer our “bodies as a living sacrifice.” What does it mean to sacrifice something? What might you give up to show a greater devotion to God?
  • In the Gospel, Peter does not understand why Jesus is willing to die. As Peter shows us, sometimes it’s hard to understand God’s plan. When was a time you didn’t know what God wanted you to do? How did you find peace with the decision you made?
