Readings for April 26, 2020
Acts 2:14, 22-33; Psalm 16:1-2, 5, 7-8, 9-10, 11; 1 Peter 1:17-21; Luke 24:13-35
Suggested Reflection Questions:
- The psalm calls us to reflect upon the path of life. How does God’s path of life compare with society’s path of life? What does God ask from us and what does society ask from us? In moments of uncertainty, how can we cast our cares upon God and trust in His plan for us?
- How can we begin to understand God’s great love for us through Jesus’ death and resurrection? How do you think Jesus’ followers must have felt about his death? What does his resurrection tell us about finding hope in hopeless times?
- In the Gospel, we see God appear to the disciples when they are on their journey to Emmaus and make time to break bread with one another. Where do you find God in your everyday life? God is always with us, but how many times do we stop to acknowledge his presence in every moment of our lives?
