Readings for Sunday, March 25, 2018 — Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion
Mark 11:1-10; John 12:12-16; Isaiah 50:4-7; Psalm 22: 8-9, 17-18, 19-20, 23-24; Philippians 2:6-11; Mark 14:1-15:47
Suggested Reflection Questions:
- When have you emptied yourself in love for someone? When have you experienced someone’s self-emptying love for you?
- In the psalm, we hear the psalmist feel as if he/she has been abandoned. Have you ever felt abandoned by God? What happened that made you feel closer to God again?
- We hear the story of Jesus’ Passion (the story of his last hours on earth) every Palm Sunday. As you hear it this time around, which part of that story stands out for you? Why do you think that part stuck you this time?
- As you walk through Jesus’ Passion with him, what do you want to say to him? What do you imagine that he would say back to you?
