Suggested Reflection Questions:
- This reading from Isaiah tells us that even in the most unlikeliest of circumstances, such as a mother forgetting her child, God will never forget that we are His. What are some of the most important people, things, or events in our lives that we may have forgotten? Often we forget to check in with people we love. How often do we forget about God? How can we show God that we love Him and haven’t forgotten about His presence in our lives?
- The Psalm this week says, “He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be disturbed at all.” What does stronghold mean to you? Who or what is your rock? Who or what in your life is a stronghold? How do you nurture this relationship? Reflect on who and what brings you closer to your rock.
- In Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus tells us that we cannot serve two masters. We cannot love two contradicting things. What are our priorities? Where do we put our time, effort, money, etc.? How do we manage any conflicts that arise?
