Suggested Reflection Questions:
- In the second reading we are told that it is better to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. How have you suffered from doing good? How have you suffered from doing evil? How can suffering sometimes be beneficial in our spiritual lives?
- The psalm tells us to “cry out to God with joy.” What are some little things we can do to bring more spiritual joy to our everyday lives? How are we supposed to find a balance between mourning the tragedies that take place in the world and celebrating the goodness of God? Are we supposed to be joyful all the time?
- In the Gospel, Jesus tells us that he remains in us. Have you ever felt alone? How can we remind ourselves that Jesus is always with us? What does Jesus’ presence among us tell us about His love for us?
