Blessed Are You

Readings for Sunday, December 23, 2018 — Fourth Sunday of Advent

Micah 5:1-4a; Psalm 80: 2-3, 15-16, 18-19; Hebrews 10:5-10; Luke 1:39-45

Suggested Reflection Questions:

  • How have you experienced God’s grace at work through the small, the unimportant, or  the overlooked of the world?
  • The psalm today talks about God’s protective nature, saving us and safeguarding us. When have you felt God acting as a protective presence in your life?
  • As God gave sons to Elizabeth and Mary, what is God bringing to birth in your life? How is the process a struggle? How is it a joy?
  • How have you been blessed? Name the ways that God has graced you (and nothing is too small to be count as a blessing in your life).
