Suggested Reflection Questions:
- In the first reading, Eli helps Samuel recognize the voice of God. Who in your life has served as an “Eli” for you and helped you figure out when and where God is calling you?
- In the gospel, Andrew invites his brother Simon to come to Jesus and follow him. Who invited you to discipleship? Whom have you invited to follow Jesus?
- Jesus gives Simon Peter a new name. Does the way God “names” you or sees you differ from the way other people see you, or even from the way you see yourself? How can you begin to look at yourself and others with the eyes of Jesus?
