Advent Faith Sharing brings Young Adults together for an evening of conversation as the church prepares for the Christmas Season. This gathering will offer young adults space for quiet reflection, reading scripture, and sharing favorite poems, short stories, or writings about Christmas.

Besides local Habitat for Humanity projects, there are probably other organizations in your community designed to help poorer residents own their own homes and escape the cycle of poverty in their lives. Check out possibilities for this in your local area. Also think about ways you might help people in the developing world. Summer mission trips abound to build orphanages, homes, and other shelters for those in grave need in places like Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua — all not far from the United States. Mustard Seed Communities is one of many Catholic organizations that organizes trips such as these.
