Check out possibilities for this in your local area. Also think about ways you might help people in the developing world. Summer mission trips abound to build orphanages, homes, and other shelters for those in grave need in places like Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua — all not far from the United States. Mustard Seed Communities is one of many Catholic organizations that organizes trips such as these.
