Form a pre-cana team made up of married couples from your parish. Take care to include older and younger couples and invite them to play a host of roles. Some can give a presentation on an aspect of marriage at the pre-cana day. Others can form a team that invites the couple to their home for dinner and simply welcomes them to the parish (nothing more — take care to ensure that this is not used to interrogate the couple!). Other couples can cook the closing romantic dinner at the end of the pre-cana day. And others can help score and facilitate the compatibility surveys that couples often take.
