Quick Tips

Meet the Needs of Your Young Adults

Table of Contents

Within the “young adult” age group, there is an immense diversity of lifestyles: some are single, married, coupled, or divorced; some are unemployed, full-time employed, or juggle multiple jobs. Your young adult ministry simply can’t accommodate the needs of every lifestyle, so consider which sub-demographics you should prioritize in your community. You should focus on fulfilling the needs that the larger parish community is not satisfying. If, for example, your parish has a thriving small group ministry in which young adults already participate actively, an additional young adult small group program is probably not what young adults need most. Don’t spend your time re-inventing the wheel.
