Caring for Creation

Table of Contents

With Earth Day (April 22) right around the corner, focus on our Catholic call to care for all of God’s creation. Gather young adults for an Earth Day activity. You might plant some new flowers around the parish or in an older parishioner’s yard. Turn your care into action and organize a letter-writing party with snacks and drinks and write notes to local/state/federal officials about an environmental issue that young adults are passionate about. And encourage (if they haven’t already) young adults to sign the St. Francis pledge from the Catholic Climate Covenant to affirm their commitment to caring for creation. You might sign-up as a young adult group and make your commitment as a community.
