May is for Mary

Check out Caitlin Kennell Kim’s article at BustedHalo.com for a month of lessons in doing justice, loving kindness, and walking humbly in Mary’s footsteps. Caitlin shares about her own personal devotion to Mary and suggests some practical ideas for how young adults might live out some of Mary’s love in their own spiritual lives and in their community. Share the article with young adults and ask for their feedback on ways you can celebrate Mary this month.

You might decide to learn a Marian prayer — and to hold each other accountable to that. You might also make May baskets for people in need in your parish or in the community. Also consider how you might celebrate the mothers in your young adult group in a few weeks for Mother’s Day  — and in the larger parish. Take the suggestions in Caitlin’s article and make them your own.
