Suggested Reflection Questions
- Abraham and Sarah show hospitality to three weary desert travelers by setting in front of them the best they have to offer. These travelers happen to be messengers of God. - The refrain of today’s psalm says that in order to live in the presence of the Lord, we must do justice. How does living justly and dealing honorably with others prepare us to welcome God into our hearts? What does it mean to “do justice” to you?
- Jesus is dining at the home of two sisters, Mary and Martha. While Mary listens intently, Martha is left to see to the details of providing hospitality. She feels resentful. How does Jesus’ response to Martha’s resentment speak to our own overscheduled and overcommitted life?
