Planning a “Teach” Event

Amy McEntee and Nora Bradbury Haehl detail how to plan a “Teach” event that explores scripture and the teachings of Christ. For starters, make sure to have a comfortable environment and remember to respect the preferences of adult learners:

“TEACH” events do exactly that — teach. These sessions explore Scripture and the teachings of the Church. Keep in mind; this isn’t your momma’s CCD. Teach events should respect the needs and preferences of adult learners. Speakers and/or facilitators need to be engaging and the gathering space should be comfortable and appropriate. It’s hard to focus when you’re twisted like a pretzel to fit in a child-sized seat.
