Fr. Michael Allelo

At first glance, the baby face, curly hair, and jovial attitude often have people wondering, “Is he a priest?” but once you get to know Father Michael Alello, you realize his dedication to our Church and each individual placed in front of him. Originally from Baton Rouge, he earned his bachelor’s degree at LSU and spent several years working in the restaurant business where he felt God inviting him to “feed His people” in a completely counter-cultural way through the priesthood. After completing his degree at LSU, he entered Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans where he finished his master’s of divinity. Ordained for the Diocese of Baton Rouge in 2007, he now serves as pastor, along Bayou Lafourche, at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville, Louisiana.
