Javier Bustamante

Javier Bustamante has spent 13 years working with youth and young adults in California, Virginia, and New Jersey. He has led groups of teens and young adults in mission trips to work with migrant children in Alabama and with children with disabilities in Guatemala. He has also organized various retreats for teens, young adults, and young adult couples. He currently serves as director of the Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry in the Diocese of Metuchen, New Jersey.

Flavors of Christmas
This program gives young adults an opportunity to learn about Christmas traditions from around the world, shedding light on the mystery of God’s constant conversation with humanity. It concludes with delivering Christmas gifts to a family in need.
Summer Prayer Nights
This is a prayer experience for young adults and the community at large. Young adults will invite those passing by the church to enter for a moment of prayer as the Blessed Sacrament is exposed.
Lenten Prayer Book
These instructions will help you create a Lenten prayer book for young adults that’s written by young adults. The prayer book contains meditations based on the daily Gospel readings for Lent and will invite young adults to deepen their prayer life.
