Homeownership among young adults has shown a steady decline since the mid-2000s. Due in no small part to the economic downturn. Many young adults are part of “generation rent” as one article calls it. Delaying (or held back from) everything from getting a job to getting married and starting a family, young adults face a different world than the one many of their parents faced.
